Great American Seafood Cookoff

The Great American Seafood Cook-Off is an annual event that pits the nation’s best chefs against recognized culinary greats from around the United States. For the last 11 years Chefs have been creating unique dishes using domestic seafood.

This year the Florida chef won with his country ham-crusted Gulf cobia with spiny lobster gyoza, caramelized baby bok choi and a Florida orange and saffron emulsion. Our homegrown Louisiana chef Aaron Burgau took third with his sauteed grouper, grilled Gulf shrimp, sweet corn sabayon, charred okra and smoked Creole vinaigrette.

We were proud to be a part of organizing this fantastic event and can’t wait for next year!
